Mr. Parris was born in Rockwood, Tennessee, on February 18, 1958. He graduated from the University of Tennessee, receiving a B.S. in Accounting in 1980. He graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1983. He is a member of the Order of the Coif and was a member of the Tennessee Law Review in 1982 and 1983.

Mr. Parris joined the law firm in 1990. He was formerly with Allen & Taylor and served as counsel for a manufacturing and distribution company. Mr. Parris is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Mr. Parris was a Certified Public Accountant prior to engaging in the practice of law.

Mr. Parris practices in the fields of contracts, financing, business entities, commercial matters, real estate and construction matters, corporate law, business financing and probate.
