Biography

Amanda has more than 25 years of experience practicing law. She joined Bernstein, Stair & McAdams LLP in 2024 from a smaller firm she co-founded in 2009. Amanda graduated magna cum laude from Lambuth University in Jackson, Tennessee in 1993 with a BBA in Marketing. She received her law degree and MBA from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 1998. After graduating from UT, Amanda remained in Knoxville to build her legal career and raise her son, Joseph.

Amanda has served as President of the Knoxville Bar Association, President of the Hamilton Burnett American Inn of Court, Chair of the Tennessee Bar Association Health Law Executive Council, Chair of the City of Knoxville’s Civil Service Merit Board and is a current member of the Episcopal School of Knoxville Board of Trustees. She is a member of the Executive Committee for the Tennessee Bar Association, Health Law Section, and is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association.  She has also chaired several committees for her church, where she has been a member since 2002. In her free time, she enjoys volleyball, biking, pickleball, tennis, skiing, and traveling.
